Vice President, Project Management

As Vice President of Project Management for Coastal Partners, LLC Joe provides hands on construction management for the Midwest Region which includes office, industrial/warehouse, and retail development.

Prior to joining Coastal Partners, Joe was Project Manager for Sierra Crest Equities, LLC, a regional, full-service real estate development firm.  During his time with Sierra Crest, Joe was assigned to assist one of the company’s largest clients in aiding their transition into a new warehouse and distribution facility.

Prior to entering real estate development, Joe spent eleven years with the U.S. Marine Corps where he was an on call assistant to the Department of Defense and assigned to liaison operations with civilian construction contractors.  Joe also has an additional nine years experience in industrial/warehousing and distribution operations management.

Joe received his education in Personnel Administration from the Marine Corps Institute, Washington, D.C.

Over the past 30 years, Jeff has been in similar roles for institutional landlords including MetLife, The New England Life Insurance Company and Principal Mutual Life, as well as a diverse group of private property owners. Jeff’s experience in managing and leasing all types of commercial and multi-family residential properties dovetails with the demands of Coastal Partners’ diversified portfolio of industrial, office and retail real estate assets.

Joining the company in 2011, Jeff has brought his diversity and longevity of hands-on property management experience, and the best practices he has learned and developed to bear in improving the processes and performance of all of Coastal Partners’ real estate assets.

Prior to joining Coastal Partners, Jeff acted in a consulting role for institutional and private investment property owners and fee management companies.

Jeff holds an undergraduate Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California as well as a Master’s Degree in Business from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Jeff is a California licensed Real Estate Broker.

Engineering Services – We have a team of highly trained and certified engineers specializing in HVAC, Energy Management Systems and general problem solving.  Each of our engineers is also trained to be an ambassador for his or her respective project and is capable of dealing with our tenants on a day to day basis.  Some of the services provided are as follows:

Vice President – Midwest

As Vice President – Midwest of Coastal Partners, LLC, Tom is responsible for overseeing all development, leasing, acquisitions, construction, and asset management for the Midwest Region which includes office, industrial, and retail properties as well as undeveloped land.

Prior to joining Coastal Partners, Tom spent ten years with CB Richard Ellis, a worldwide real estate firm, were he was involved in over 350 transactions totaling over $250 million dollars in value.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/Real Estate from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.

Ronald is responsible for all legal aspects and oversight of transactions for Coastal Partners, LLC.

Prior to founding Coastal Partners, LLC, Ronald was in private practice for over 35 years, specializing in real estate and business law. During that time he was a founder and President of Occidental Services, Inc., a company specializing in the foreclosure of trust deeds, and also founder and President of Commercial Finance Center, a mortgage bank specializing in providing short-term loans on income-producing properties and in acquiring loans from banks, savings and loans, and thrift companies. From 1975 through 1995 Ronald syndicated real estate acquisitions and served as the Managing General Partner of 27 limited partnerships which owned and operated an aggregate 31 properties in eight states.

In 1977, with two partners, Ronald formed J.D. Alexander and Associates, Inc., a full service real estate company. From the company’s inception through dissolution in 1992, Ronald served as Chairman and CEO. The company’s focus was acquisition, development, disposition, management, and leasing of income properties, including multi-unit residential, office, strip and neighborhood sized shopping centers, and industrial/warehouse properties.

Ronald’s business and legal experience also enabled him to develop substantial expertise in negotiating and structuring equity and debt formation, and loan reorganization.

Ronald joined Sierra Crest Equities, LLC as a Principal in 1997.

Ronald was a Founder of 1st Business Bank, now Mellon 1st Business Bank, in Los Angeles in 1981. He received  BA and JD degrees from the University of Illinois and is licensed to practice law in the state of California. Ronald is also a licensed Real Estate broker in the state of California.

President

As president and co-founder of Coastal Partners, LLC, Brett provides leadership and hands-on involvement in all facets of the development, investment, and planning processes. A native Chicagoan, Brett plays an essential role in the firm’s success, interfacing with clients, architects and consultants throughout the course of a project to facilitate successful development projects for the firm, its clients and its investors.

Brett has been instrumental in the development of many significant projects throughout the Midwest. His industry experience also includes equity and debt structuring under a variety of deal structures. Prior to forming Coastal Partners, Brett was a principal at Sierra Crest Equities, LLC, a regional full service real estate development firm. During his tenure at Sierra Crest Equities, LLC and continuing on at Coastal Partners, LLC, Brett has helped create an entrepreneurial and value-oriented approach to successful real estate development and real estate investing.

Prior to entering the world of real estate development, Brett practiced real estate law with Katten, Muchin, Zavis, Pearl and Galler in Chicago. He holds a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois.
